Date, duration and place of workshop:
The workshop is entitled “Latin American X-ray school for different astrophysical scenarios”.
It will be held in Viedma, in the premises of the Universidad Nacional de Río Negro.
The conference facilities to be used are located within the campus of the university.
The date of the workshop is from Monday 20/2/2017 to Friday 3/3/2017.
Visa formalities
No need for visa for Latin American countries, except for Cuba (http://www.migraciones.gov.ar/accesible/indexN.php?visas).
Language:
The local language is Spanish. During the workshop, the official language will be English. The Argentinian currency is PESO ($). Please check the current exchange rate. Major international credit cards are accepted at hotels, as well as at most restaurants, shops and car rental agencies. It is easy to exchange U.S dollars with Pesos, either in cash or traveler’s checks mainly at banks and travel agencies.
Electricity
Electricity in Argentina is 220 Volts, frequency is 60 Hz nationwide, and plugs have two round prongs or usual three flat prongs.
Weather
The climate of Viedma is dry and hot in the summer season (from December to March), reaching to over 35 C degrees. It has a nice river with a water temperature of 24 to 25 C. Very light clothes are strongly recommended during the day to avoid heat shocks, although during the nights the temperature could fall to reach 12 C. How to reach Viedma city
By plane: You will arrive at the "Ministro Pistarini - EZEIZA" international airport, and your flight connection departs to Viedma from the local airport located at the centre of Buenos Aires city (Aeroparque Jorge Newbery). It usually takes about two and a half hours between landing in Ezeiza and be ready to get a flight in Aeroparque. We recommend to take the bus from EZEIZA to Aeroparque airport ("Tienda Leon").
From Buenos Aires you'll arrive in Viedma at the "Gobernador Castello" national airport in a daily direct flight at about 15 PM local time. The airport is only 5 kms away from Viedma city. When you first get to the airport, you can take a taxi to Viedma. Please, make sure you exchange some money in one of the exchange desks previously in Buenos Aires, e.g. at "Ezeiza" or "Aeroparque" international airport. Seven us-dollars are enough to pay a taxi from the local airport to the hotel.

By bus for researchers:
You can also take a direct bus of any of two companies "Cefernio" or "Fredes". Buses depart daily from Buenos Aires main bus station (Retiro). Tickets can be bought at the station before the departure time (20.00 hs). However, we recomend to buy tickets two or three days in advance at least. Check this site for adquisition of on-line ticket. The trip duration is about 11 hours, the buses are however very comfortable, with meals and drinks, bath, TV, and internet connection. Traveling by bus is not much cheaper than flying. We recommends direct flights from BSAS to Viedma.

By bus for students:
A private bus from our organization will be ready to departs from Buenos Aires. The bus will be set at the local Airport (Aeroparque) , and departing time is at 20.00 hs. Further informations and details about bus will be given in the next weeks.
Students do not needs for tickets. There will be a list of students and you just need your personal identification to get inside it.
